Cymgal 450 Mg Valganciclovir Tablet

WHAT IS CYMGAL ?

An antiviral drug, Cymgal 450 Mg Tablet is given to adults to treat CMV infection of
the eye and also CMV infection that occurs post organ transplant surgery. It functions by stopping the multiplication of viral
cells in the body.

Cymgal 450 mg Tablet is
an antiviral medication. It prevents the multiplication of the virus in human
cells. Thus stops the virus from producing new viruses.

MEDICINE USES:

Cymgal Tablet is
used for Retinitis, Cytomegalovirus
infection and other
conditions. Cymgal Tablet may also be used for purposes not listed in this
medication guide.
Cymgal Tablet
contains Valganciclovir as an active ingredient.
Cymgal Tablet works by
preventing the growth and spread of cytomegalovirus.
Biocon manufactures Cymgal Tablet.

Cymgal 450 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of eye infections by
Herpes simplex virus.

CYMGAL TABLETS COMMON SIDE EFFECT:

The following is a list of possible side-effects that may occur from all constituting ingredients of Cymgal
Tablet. This is not a comprehensive list. These
side-effects are possible, but do not always occur. Some of the side-effects
may be rare but serious. Consult your doctor if you observe any of the following
side-effects, especially if they do not go away.

Joint
pain

Back
pain

Dizziness

Chills

Loss
of appetite

Indigestion

Cymgal Tablet –
Precautions:

Before using Cymgal Tablet,
inform your doctor about your current list of medications, over the counter
products (e.g. vitamins, herbal supplements, etc.), allergies, pre-existing
diseases, and current health conditions (e.g. pregnancy, upcoming surgery,
etc.). Some health conditions may make you more susceptible to the side-effects
of the drug. Take as directed by your doctor or follow the direction printed on
the product insert. Dosage is based on your condition. Tell your doctor if your
condition persists or worsens. Important counseling points are listed below.

Do not start the
treatment until neutrophil count is 500 cells/l, platelet count 25000/l,

or hemoglobin level
8g/dl

Monitor complete blood
counts and platelet counts tests at regular intervals during treatment.

Drug Interactions:

If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same
time, the effects of Cymgal Tablet may change. This may increase your
risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Tell your doctor
about all the drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that
you doctor can help you prevent or manage drug interactions. Cymgal Tablet may
interact with the following drugs and products:

Certolizumab Cimzia

Clopine

Clozapine

Clozaril
