ABOUT NEVIMUNE

Nevimune belongs to a class of anti-HIV medicines called non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NNRTIs). Reverse transcriptase is an enzyme that HIV needs in order to multiply. It stops reverse transcriptase from working, and thus helps control HIV-1 infection.

MEDICINE USES :

Nevirapine is an antiviral medication that prevents human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) cells from multiplying in your body. It is used to treat HIV, which causes the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). It will not prevent or cure HIV or AIDS.

NEVIRAPINE SIDE EFFECTS :

mild nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or stomach pain; muscle pain; headache, tired feeling; or changes in the shape or location of body fat (especially in your arms, legs, face, neck, breasts, and waist).

Stop using Nevirapine and call your doctor at once if you have:

    fever, swollen gums, painful mouth sores, pain when swallowing, skin sores, cold or flu symptoms, cough, trouble breathing;
    any other signs of new infection; or the first sign of any skin rash, no matter how mild.

This is not a complete list of side effects and others may occur. Call your doctor for medical advice about side effects.
