Cabozantinib Uses
- For the treatment of metastatic medullary thyroid cancer (MTC).
- For the treatment of advanced renal cell carcinoma (RCC) a most common type of kidney cancer.
Cabozantinib Capsules Side Effects :
Nausea, vomiting, loss of hunger, fatigue, oral pain, mouth sores, dry skin, diarrhea, low calcium, high blood pressure, taste change, hand-foot syndrome. On the off chance that any of these impacts continue or decline, inform your specialist or drug specialist expeditiously.

- Cabozantinib is a capsule, taken by mouth.
- Take cabozantinib on an empty stomach. Do not eat for at least 2 hours before and at least 1 hour after taking cabozantinib.
- You should not drink grapefruit juice or eat grapefruit during treatment with cabozantinib.
- Take cabozantinib exactly as prescribed by the specialist.
- Swallow cabozantinib capsules whole, do not crush, dissolve or open capsules.
- Do not change your dose or stop cabozantinib unless your specialist tells you to.
- If you miss a dose and your next dose is due in:
- Less than 12 hours, take your next dose at the normal time. Do not make up the next dose.
- Do not take more than 1 dose of cabozantinib at one time. Call your health care provider right away if you take too much.
DRUGS PRECAUTIONS:
Before taking Cabozantinib, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it; or if you have any other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems. Talk to your pharmacist for more details.
Do not receive any kind of immunization or vaccination without your doctor’s approval while taking cabozantinib.
Inform your health care professional if you are pregnant or may be pregnant prior to starting this treatment. Pregnancy category D (cabozantinib may be hazardous to the fetus. Women who are pregnant or become pregnant must be advised of the potential hazard to the fetus.)
It is not known whether this drug passes into breast milk. Because of the potential risk to the infant, breast-feeding while using this drug is not recommended. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
