WHAT
IS BIMODE TABLETS?
Bendamustine is an
anti-cancer (“antineoplastic” or “cytotoxic”) chemotherapy
drug. Bendamustine is classified as an “alkylating agent. Bendamustine is
classified as an alkylating agent. Alkylating agents are most active in
the resting phase of the cell-cycle. There are several types of
alkylating agents. Bendamustine is a nitrogen mustard derivative and is active against
resting as well as dividing cells.
USES OF BIMODE TABLETS:
Bimode Injection is
used for Acute lymphocytic leukaemia, Chronic lymphocytic
leukemia, Non-hodgkin’s lymphomaand other conditions. Bimode Injection may
also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
It is used widely in the treatments of
chronic lymphatic leukemia, non Hodgkin lymphoma, and myeloma. It
is included in World Health Organization’s list of Essential Medicines. It’s
often used as a sole medicine for the treatment of above mentioned conditioned,
or sometimes combinatively with other medications. No tablets or pills are
available of this medication. Bimode 100Mg Injection works by interfering into
the cancerous cells and hence the cells can’t divide into two and prevent
further spread.
POSSIBLE
SIDE EFFECTS:
This is
a strong drug and include various side effects if administered improperly hence
doctors supervision is impeccable. Side effects like low blood count, nausea,
vomiting, fatigue, diarrhea, skin problems, renal problems may be encountered
after administration of Bimode 100Mg Injection. In rare cases infertility and other
similar problems may be seen.
Some people receiving a bendamustine injection have had a reaction to the
infusion (when the medicine is injected into the vein). Tell your caregiver
right away if you have fever chills, itching, or skin rash during or shortly
after the injection.
When symptoms like extreme nausea, vomiting,
or unusual bleeding, blood in urine or stool may show up
its time to contact the doctor as soon as possible. But when administered under
extreme guidance this drug works well in treating the above mentioned
conditioned.
COMMON SIDE EFFECTS MAY
INCLUDE:
The most commonly
reported side-effects of Bimode Injection are nausea, vomiting,
fatigue, diarrhea, constipation, and fever.
severe ongoing nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea; feeling very weak or tired; cough
with yellow or green mucus, stabbing chest pain, wheezing, feeling short of
breath; pain, swelling, redness, skin changes, or signs of infection where the
medicine was injected;
low blood cell counts–fever, chills, flu-like symptoms, swollen gums, mouth
sores, skin sores, rapid heart rate, pale skin, easy bruising, unusual
bleeding, feeling light-headed;
signs of tumor cell breakdown–lower back pain, blood in your urine, little or
no urination; numbness or tingly feeling around your mouth; muscle weakness or
tightness; fast or slow heart rate, weak pulse, confusion, fainting;
dehydration symptoms–feeling very thirsty or hot, being unable to urinate,
heavy sweating, or hot and dry skin;
low potassium–leg cramps, constipation, irregular heartbeats, fluttering in
your chest, extreme thirst, increased urination, numbness or tingling, muscle
weakness or limp feeling; or
severe skin reaction–swelling in your face or tongue, burning in your eyes,
skin pain followed by a red or purple skin rash that spreads (especially in the
face or upper body) and causes blistering and peeling.
DRUGS PRECAUTIONS:
Before using Bimode
Injection, inform your doctor about your current list of medications, over the
counter products (e.g. vitamins, herbal supplements, etc.), allergies,
pre-existing diseases, and current health conditions (e.g. pregnancy, upcoming
surgery, etc.). Some health conditions may make you more susceptible to the
side-effects of the drug. Take as directed by your doctor or follow the
direction printed on the product insert. Dosage is based on your condition.
Tell your doctor if your condition persists or worsens.
Bimode 100 mg Injection is
an anti-cancer medication. It works by damaging the genetic material (DNA and
RNA) of the cancer cells. This stops their growth and multiplication.
DRUGS INTERACTIONS:
Monitoring of the blood cell count and potassium level is
required before the start and regularly during the therapy.
Consult your doctor if you have any signs of infection,
fever, lung symptoms, skin reactions, pain in abdomen, blood in urine, reduced
volume of urine.
Inform your doctor if you have heart disease (heart
attack, chest pain, severely disturbed heart rhythms).
Men should adopt appropriate contraceptive measure during
and up to 6 months after treatment and may require sperm conservation prior to
treatment because of possibility of irreversible infertility.
Bendamustine may cause sleepiness and dizziness or lack
of coordination; it is advisable to avoid driving or operating heavy machinery
under such circumstances.
Bendamustine
