WHAT IS EVERMIL TABLETS?
Everolimus is a targeted therapy and is classified as an mTOR inhibitor. Everolimus lowers your body’s immune system. The immune system helps your body fight infections. The immune system can also fight or “reject” a transplanted organ such as a liver or kidney. This is because the immune system treats the new organ as an invader.
USES OF EVERMIL TABLETS:
Everolimus Is used For treatment of advanced renal cell cancer, after sunitinib and sorafenib treatment failure. Advanced pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors, treatment of advanced hormone receptor positive, HER2-negative breast cancer in post menopausal women, after letrozole or anastrozole treatment failure. Treatment of adult patients with certain types of neuroendocrine tumors (NET) of gastrointestinal (GI) or lung origin with unresectable, locally advanced or metastatic disease.
POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS:
EVEROLIMUS can cause a blood clot in the blood vessels of your transplanted organ, especially within 30 days after transplant. Tell your doctor right away if you have: shortness of breath, fever with nausea or vomiting, blood in your urine, dark colored urine, little or no urinating, jaundice (yellowing of your skin or eyes), or pain in your stomach, groin, lower back, or side.
COMMON SIDE EFFECTS MAY INCLUDE:
Some side effects may include infection with symptoms like sore throat, chills, fever, frequent and painful urination, or unusual itching, night sweats, unexplained weight loss, unusual growths or lumps and swollen lymph nodes.
swelling in your legs, ankles, or feet; diarrhea, constipation; or mild stomach discomfort.

DRUGS PRECAUTIONS:
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Evermil 5 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Evermil 5 mg Tablet suppresses the activity of body’s immune system and prevents rejection of the transplanted organ.
DRUGS INTERACTIONS:
Do not start everolimus and consult your doctor if you have liver problems, diabetes, high blood cholesterol, had a recent surgery or have unhealed wound after surgery, have infection, previously had hepatitis, are pregnant or breast-feeding or have intolerance to some sugars.
Seek medical advice if you have increased thirst or increased frequency of urination, if you get any infection, suffer from shortness of breath, cough or fever, need to receive any vaccination after taking everolimus.
Everolimus may affect male or female fertility; consult your doctor if you are planning to have a child.
Do not drive or operate machinery while taking everolimus as it may cause fatigue.
