WHAT IS CLEXANE?
Clexane 20mg Injection is an anticoagulant that prevents the
formation of harmful blood clots.
This
medication prevents blood clots in patients who are on bed rest or who are
having orthopedic surgery of the hip replacement, knee replacement, or large
intestinal surgery. It is also used alone or in combination with warfarin to
prevent and treat blood clots in the leg. It is low molecular weight heparin.
It stops the formation of substances that cause clots. It is also used in
unstable angina and heart attacks.

Clexane 20 MG
Injection is an anticoagulant which is used to prevent the blood clots in the
legs. It is used in combination with warfarin to treat blood clots. The patient
should inform the doctor if having any bleeding disorder and should be aware of
possible side effects of this medicine.
Clexane 20 MG Injection is used for thinning your
blood and preventing the formation of clots. It is generally used in
hospitalized patients, or if you are recuperating at home after a stomach, knee
or hip surgery when it is
difficult for you to move around. The medicine can also treat any existing
blood clots. Clexane 20 MG Injection can be used as a combination therapy,
meaning it has to be taken with other medicines for a complete treatment. It
belongs to the drug group known as anticoagulants. The medicine blocks a
protein in the body that causes the clotting of the blood. In case you already
have a blood clot, it will prevent it from becoming worse. In the meantime,
your body breaks down the clot by itself.
Clexane
20mg Injection is used in the treatment and prevention of deep vein
thrombosis and pulmonary
embolism.
It is also used in
a heart attack.
CLEXANE INJECTION COMMON SIDE EFFECT:
While injecting
Clexane 20 MG Injection, it may result in a bruise and pain in
area where it is being injected initially. Other common side effects include
fever, swelling of the legs, bleeding or anaemia
(insufficient healthy red blood cells). You may consult your doctor if these
side effects are persistent and keep causing discomfort. However, seek medical
attention at once in case you suffer from serious side effects like:
Headache, trouble in walking, speaking or
coordination, losing control of your hands and legs.
Bleeding from the nose or gums, coughing or
vomiting blood, black stools and abdominal pain.
Redness and swelling of the arms and legs,
trouble breathing and chest pain.
A serious allergic reaction, resulting in rashes, hives, and swelling of the throat and tongue.

PRECAUTIONS:
If
you have an allergy to enoxaparin or any other part of this drug. If you are
allergic to pork products, talk with the doctor. Tell your doctor if you are
allergic to any drugs. Make sure to tell about the allergy and what signs you
had. This includes telling about rash; hives; itching; shortness of breath;
wheezing; cough; swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat; or any other signs.
If you have any of these health problems: Bleeding problems or low platelet
count during past use. If you know that you will not take the drug as you have
been told. If you are pregnant and have had a heart valve replaced.
Clexane
20 MG Injection is available in solution form, which is injected in your body.
The dosage depends on your age, general health condition, the condition you are
suffering from and the reaction of your body to the first dose. Ensure that you
do not stop taking the medicine abruptly, as that would increase the risk of
getting a blood clot. Also, an overdose can lead to abdominal pain, black stools, nosebleeds, bleeding gums and coughing or vomiting blood.

Take Clexane 20 MG Injection as prescribed by
the doctor. Do not take this medicine in larger or smaller quantities than
recommended. The treatment should be started at lower doses and increase the
dose gradually based on the response. Do not stop taking this medicine without
informing your doctor.
For best
results, take Clexane at the same time every day.
Clexane
should be injected under the skin of the abdomen.
Clexane
increases your risk of bleeding. Be careful while shaving, cutting fingernails
or toenails, or using sharp objects.
Does not
require regular blood tests.
Notify your doctor if there is bleeding from gums, nose,
or wounds that last more than 15 minutes, or if blood appears in urine, stool
or vomit.
Do not
discontinue use without consulting your doctor.
